A quality life choice – Vegan for life
It is unfortunate that many individuals aren’t understanding why it’s difficult for people that aren’t subjected to the vegan for life philosophy. And cannot understand why living with no meat in your diet isn’t only a better lifestyle. It is a better way to eat as well unless you had been born a vegetarian and raised this manner. There was a point once you went through that transition. You may have the ability to remember thinking that vegetarians are crazy. Sometimes you might wonder how to live without having a slice of meat.
Society doesn’t encourage us to evolve towards a meat-free world. While that may not be as sinister and frightening since industries keeping us hooked on cigarettes. So there is not any “comprehension” coming from those powerful lobbies. Restaurants often are also not helpful when 90% of the menu offerings are meat-based. When they do serve the food, they are such large portions. Customers also tend to consume a lot of unhealthy food from these restaurants.
Luckily the vegetarian way of life is growing more prevalent and more known each year. As the people move in this direction the businesses will follow and we’ll find more and more businesses and restaurants wanting to serve many vegetarian people. When you see McDonald’s offering fries and vegetable options as they have done in the last few decades you can understand that the number of vegans is increasing rapidly.
Not my cup of tea?
It’s good for those people that can plainly see that the gap in quality of life as a vegetarian. Compared to prior to the transition is as different as day and night to be able to have some understanding of our cultural prejudice toward beef-eating. After all, civilization has been meat established for a long time. So to change to turn into a culture that searches for vegetables instead of meats is going to be a difficult transition at a cultural level. This transition period will continue for some more time due to many reasons.
We have to understand from the additional large scale changes to how civilization work for the betterment of people and how we can enhance it. The migration from smoking is a great example. As the hazards of smoking became more obvious the quality of lifestyle of non-smokers became more apparent.
This isn’t to say the shift turned easily. Giving up meat may be as difficult for many as giving up cigarettes. But now we live in a world where public smoking is rare and the proportion of smokers to non-smokers in society is less. That’s progressing and we can use that movement as inspiration to realize that consuming meat as the center of the domestic diet is resulting in a higher quality of lifestyle for everybody. Some might think vegan for life is not my cup of tea. But you should understand the importance of being a vegetarian.
